GLUTEN-RELATED DISORDERS

Gluten-related disorders (GRDs) occur worldwide, presenting a wide variety of either intra- and/or extra-intestinal symptoms. The widespread and rising consumption of gluten as well as processed foods makes gluten-related GRDs important to different and growing parts of the world.

The different faces of GRDs

1. Autoimmune diseases such as celiac disease (CD), dermatitis herpetiformis (DH), Ataxia, and further HLA-related autoimmune conditions.

2. Non-autoimmune and non-allergic conditions such as non-celiac gluten sensitivity (NCGS)

3. Allergic disorders (IgE mediated) such as classic wheat allergy and occupational asthma (baker's asthma)

 Don't waste time treating GRD!
